The dancers everywhere (except Caliente) are really good about not having drinks on the floor and not standing on the floor if they're not dancing.

Salsa, by area

America Latina, Itaewon (north central Seoul)
Popular with foreigners especially on Friday nights. There's no cover. It's a great space with the bar out of the way on the side, with lots of tables to sit, and a good floor to dance.  Full liquor selection.  Smoking is allowed but they use an interchanger so it doesn't get too smoky.  Open til last person leaves which is about 1-2am. Check the map on the right.  The site: http://blog.daum.net/july1004 http://cafe.daum.net/colombiasalsa is mostly in Korean.

Caliente, Itaewon (north central Seoul)
Caliente is more of a bar than a salsa club, people go to hang out & drink more than to dance.   It's popular with (mostly) foreigners on weekends. They play salsa, merengue, bachata, and reggaeton. 10,000 won gets you cover & a free drink.  Dancing is mostly On1. The place opens around 9, gets packed around 11:30, and stays open til 3. Friday and Saturday nights. Full bar, no smoking as of January 2011.

Macondo, Hongdae (west side Seoul)
This club is a little small but open and has a great atmosphere. Very nice renovated floor.  Limited liquor, wine, and beer, smoking not allowed on weekends.  Opens around 8 but doesn't get busy until around 11:30 (they're currently offering free entry before 9:30 on Fridays and Saturdays). Goes until 4:30 a.m. They offer classes as well. Please check the map & click the name for their link.

Bonita, Hongdae (west side Seoul)
Big club with a nice floor. Fridays is the big night where all the Koreans and some foreigners go, and it gets packed. They're open Saturdays and Sundays as well. There is no beer or liquor, only non-alcoholic drinks. They close around 1:30. Check the map on the right.

Turn, Gangnam (central Seoul)

This is your best option to see Korean Salsa in full force on a good floor.

The dancing here is mostly mambo (On2) & technical.   The DJ tends to play very "jazzy" salsa & a mix of Mambo classics.  The place might be a little intimidating for beginners due to the complicated turn patterns and spins everyone's doing, but dancers warm up to you if you keep going there.  Cover is 9,000 won & gets you half off an alcoholic drink (beer and limited liquor). Famous for their Caffe Corretto drink (Espresso & rum!) that'll keep u going till 5ish!:)  Friday 9pm-1:30am, Sat 9pm-5am.  Tuesday&  Sundays 8-midnight. There is a small back room where you can smoke.

MamboGangnam (Central Seoul)

Mambo is a nice club in Gangnam located on the 6th floor with a patio that has a gorgeous view of the Gangnam skyline.  They have their regular crowd that goes there earlier at night (9:30-12) on Fridays and Saturdays.  Friendly people and mostly Korean.  They play mostly salsa with a mix of Bachata & Chacha.  Cover is 9,000 w/ 1 drink.  No smoking but they have the patio with chairs.

Top Bar, Apgujeong (central Seoul)
The biggest club in town that quite a few foreigners go to. 9,000 gets you a free non-alcoholic drink, the bar also has beer and limited liquor. The music is half mambo, half classics (salsa, cha cha, merengue, and the occasional merengue). The dancers are friendly to foreigners & its a mix of On1 & On2 Salsa. Sundays and Wednesdays they close at 12, Fridays and Saturdays they close around 2. No smoking. Wednesdays are especially popular & Tuesday is an older crowd.
