Daegu
There are two main clubs and one secondary one that [I] never
checked out due to weak reviews from locals. Below are the main
two, listed according to their best nights from what I was told and
also personally observed.
- Thursday,
Club Babalu (nested within the shopping area behind
the park across from the Daegu City Center Novotel
- Friday:
Club Salsita, located one half block down the main
strip from the Novotel and down a side alley)
- Saturday:
Club Babalu (their best night)
- Sunday:
Babalu, good music but fairly quiet otherwise. Great
night for practicing with a friend or alone...very alone....lol
"[I] found both of the above clubs to be very nice and the
management to be very foreigner friendly. Especially at Salsita
where the owner was bringing dancers to me one by one as if Pimpin
salsa dancers. lol. The dancers at both were very good, on par with
those we've seen in Seoul and they were very friendly and accepting
of foreigners as well. I have nothing negative to say about either.
Overall, I had a good time and was just dissappointed they didnt
have places open and packed more nights of the week. Friday and
Saturday are basically it; thursday at Babalu was hit/miss."
